Book review: Skulduggery Pleasant; Scepter of the ancients
yxc- IST - December 8, 2009
Skulduggery Pleasant this book is a fantasy and adventurous book. People who enjoy fairy tale, humor and adventure will really like this book. This book is about a girl named Stephanie, learned a big secret after her uncle died. She then enters a different world with a living skeleton named Skulduggery Pleasant, sorcerer, mages and magic. She and Skulduggery is on a mission to save the world by stopping Serpine from bring the Faceless Ones back to Earth. The reason that I really like this book is because how they link the normal world we live in to the world with magic. I would recommend this book to people aged 10 and up.

This book is for people who want a little bit of fairy tales, a dash of laughter, and a bunch of action. This story is a about a girl who doesn’t want a normal life so when her uncle dies and she learns about a big secret she decides to becomes part of it. She enters a world of magic and tries to stop evil from getting the mythical scepter of the ancients with her walking and talking skeleton named Skulduggery Pleasant. You get sucked into this book with its cliff hangers, its funny yet quick dialog, and the world of magic’s weird culture. In this book everything will be explained.
